yesterday: windchill of -23. ouch.
today: 100 km/h winds with 6 inches of snow down on the ground....then about 10 mm of rain.... then more snow. ouch again.
i plan on staying inside as much as possible.

- i have the ability to kill virtually any house plant. i've killed 3 cacti in my life and numerous african violets not to mention several plants of unknown origin. i am currently working on killing a collection of plants that i received two summers ago as a house warming gift from my parents. so far, several have died, but several have new growth. i'm working hard to remedy this.

That definitely sounds like January in NL! I hope that you don't personally have to do any shoveling!
